While surfing the internet the other day, I came across an event for Goat Yoga and was like “What?? I definitely have to do a little more research on this!” Goat Yoga was started by Lainey Morse of Albany, Oregon in August 2016 at the suggestion of a local yogi instructor.
What is goat yoga? Goat Yoga consists of various poses at the beginner level. Yogis suggest that goat yoga is an innovative way of fusing the healing benefits of yoga and animal therapy. Goats bring a smile to everyone’s face and when you smile often, you lower your cortisol levels. Yoga can help keep you fit as well as enlighten your mood. It’s really hard to take life seriously when you are working out with goats; however, it’s a great way to break from your normal routine and relieve stress.
Any way you look at it, goat yoga sure looks like a lot of fun with those cute goats! There are many goat yoga places in Katy and Fulshear so get out there and have fun!
