When I attended Taylor High School back in the 1980’s, the Katy/Fulshear area was a much smaller community. I traveled country two-lane roads to get to school which are now four lane busy through fares. In the last decade, Katy and Fulshear have witnessed dramatic growth with the addition of outstanding neighborhoods, restaurants, shopping and the influx of many small businesses as well as major corporations. The upward trend continues as families flock here for our award-winning schools and outstanding athletic programs. In this section, we introduce you to some of Katy’s top realtors who are themselves proud to call Katy home.
Jennifer Bean
Jennifer is a licensed Realtor and mother of three and is extremely passionate about both aspects of her life. As a realtor, Jennifer genuinely cares for her client’s needs and strives to bring extraordinary service from beginning to end. Although a transaction may have closed and come to a completion, that’s not where it ends with her. Jennifer has built relationships that will last a lifetime. New clients become new friends. Jennifer has been thankful because most of her clients have come from referrals, repeat buyers and sellers, and also friends and family, which has allowed her to maintain a steady flow of business. She says that a referral is the biggest compliment a realtor can receive. Jennifer possesses the skill set and knowledge to help you buy and sell your home. Jennifer brings integrity, energy, and hard work to every detail of your real estate needs. She enjoys studying the market and knowing what’s going on in the area. Even before getting her license, her guilty pleasure was taking her kids to visit new builds, looking at model homes and combing through homes on HAR.
Jennifer keeps her license with Frank Gray, broker and owner at Abby Realty. She joined Abby Realty because she admired Frank and his values concerning family and work. She says he is a true mentor and leader. Although Abby Realty is one of the fastest growing brokerages in the Houston area, Jennifer says there is still a feeling of one-on-one. “The support and training at Abby Realty is like no other,” says Jennifer.
She has resided in Houston and the surrounding area for most of her life. Growing up in Sugar Land, then moving into greater Houston to attend The University of Houston, she graduated with a degree in Consumer Science and a minor in Marketing. Shortly after graduation she moved to Katy and has lived there ever since. She has three children. One is a sophomore at The University of Texas in Austin, the other will be graduating this year from Seven Lakes High school, and the youngest is finishing her last year of junior high. Jennifer says, “ These three are my pride and joy”. Jennifer has liked living in Katy because she says it has been a wonderful place to raise her children. They have grown up with the same kids since before preschool.
Outside of family and work, she enjoys spending time with her friends over some good food, laughs. Wine is always an added plus. For a nice place to relax and listen to some good live piano music, she enjoys sitting in the cocktail area of Perry’s Steak House. She has played tennis most of her life and grew up riding horses. She loves to travel and loves to be outdoors.

Kelly Burnett
Kelly Burnett loves the idea that there is a perfect home out there for everyone and wants to help his clients find it. As a lifelong Houstonian who has moved away and come back, he understands the undeniable allure of the Bayou City and wants to help his clients find their best lives here. Whether representing a home seller or buyer, Kelly offers each client the same high degree of professionalism, clear communication and white-glove customer service. There are no short cuts to success, and he’s always ready to put in the research and hard work that results in a successful transaction.
Kelly was raised in Friendswood but moved away to live in New York City where he pursued a career in acting. During his 9 years in the Big Apple he not only had the opportunity to perform in the city, but also across the country and Europe. Starring in a commercial for Nintendo Gameboy was a high spot in his acting years.
Upon returning to the Lone Star state, he spent six years as the Head Theatre Director at Katy High School. These years afforded him the privilege of directing over 20 productions while working with some of the most talented students and staff along the way. A consummate professional, his students would tell you that he always drove them to aim higher with passion and precision. In UIL One Act contest seasons, his program quickly gained a reputation for excellence among both the Katy community and the Greater Houston area.
The two career paths served him well when he launched his real estate practice. Both jobs have given him a unique understanding of how people communicate, what to listen for, how to solve problems, and how to see things that might not be obvious. He has an eye for potential value in a home or a neighborhood a client may not have considered. Kelly is enthusiastic, and always on the lookout for ways to help guide his clients through the sometimes topsy-turvy world of Houston real estate. He began his Real Estate career with Heritage Texas Properties Katy, Houston’s fifth largest independent firm. Soon after it was announced that HTP would be merging with Better Homes and Gardens Gary Greene. This merger created a powerful force in the Houston Real Estate Market, and he was thrilled to be a part of it. His career quickly took off and he was recently named BHGRE Gary Greene Katy’s Rising Star, #1 new agent.
When he’s not working, Kelly enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Julie, their two daughters, Haley and Emery, and their church family. There’s no place like home and they found their own slice of happiness living in Weston Lakes. Every home should be a haven and if you haven’t found yours yet, Kelly would love to help you find it.
