Tucked away in a little strip center off FM1463 near HEB is a marvelous find for a good cup of coffee or specialty drink and a whole host of other palate pleasing options.
The atmosphere is really nice with a fair amount of four tops and an ample bar area. The service is very good as we were welcomed and made to feel at home the moment we walked in. For starters, the Coco Addiction is aptly named because this rich concoction is potent with three shots of espresso. Only serious coffee drinkers need apply. However, if needed, all their specialty drinks can be made with decaf.
We tried their Crêpes for breakfast simply because they sounded so delicious. They offer both sweet and savory. The Crepe au Citron had the most perfect lemon custard. Their crepes are made with all of the delightful touches you would expect in an open kitchen concept and better yet, it comes up in a jiffy.
If you’re not a lemon fan, you can choose from several sweet crepe options with Nutella, strawberries, chocolate, caramel, white chocolate, creme brûlée and the list goes on.
If it’s savory you prefer, choose the chicken and spinach crepe, filled with Sautéed mushrooms, mozzarella cheese, wild mushroom and pesto sauce, or spicy ham and mozzarella crepe. They have many options including my favorite smoked salmon. It’s worth noting that the Merguez Moroccan Sausage adds really nice flavor in a crepe that includes caramelized onions, mozzarella cheese, sautéed mushrooms, sun-dried tomato pesto sauce. Plus, each month they create an exciting new crêpe based on seasonal and regional ingredients.
On my next visit I plan to sample one of their many paninis, maybe soup or salad and one of the fruit smoothies made with their homemade gelato and fresh fruit.
Coco is one of several locations in the Houston area and according to one of their employees they are only in Texas.
